Scheduled Pentests¶
Schedule a pentest for a future time or run it repeatedly from a reusable assessment template. Scheduled pentests are available to Team and Enterprise accounts.
Before you schedule¶
- Connect the Shell Server the schedule will use.
- Create the methodology and any Skill Group required by the assessment.
- Confirm that the target will be reachable from the selected Shell Server when each run begins.
- Make sure the account has continuing authorization to test the target on every scheduled date.
Create a template¶
A template stores the configuration shared by every run.
- Open Schedule from the sidebar.
- In Templates, click New.
- Enter a template name.
- Select a methodology and Shell Server.
- Optionally select a project and Skill Group.
- Enter the reusable scope and runtime settings.
- Choose whether Sable may create tasks automatically, skip finding validation, or capture screenshots automatically.
- Save the template.
Do not put a one-time MFA code or short-lived session cookie in a recurring template. See Testing a target that uses MFA for safer handoff options.
Create a schedule¶
- In Schedules, click New.
- Select the template.
- Enter the target and duration.
- Choose how often the pentest repeats.
- Set the start date, time, and time zone.
- Choose whether the schedule never ends, ends on a date, or stops after a set number of runs.
- Review the upcoming occurrences.
- Confirm that the account has permission to test the target, then save.
Use a one-time recurrence when you only need a future run. For recurring work, choose the interval and review the generated occurrence preview before saving.
Manage scheduled work¶
The Schedule page shows upcoming runs and the template used for each schedule. From here you can:
- Edit a template or schedule
- Enable or disable a schedule
- Review the next run dates on the timeline
- Open an assessment created by a schedule
- Confirm which schedule created an assessment
Disabling a schedule prevents future runs without deleting its reusable template.
